Nigerian budding singer Fave entered the music industry in 2019. She has released many singles and her debut EP album, Riddim 5. She has collaborated with legendary singers including Olamide and Davido.

Early Life
Nigerian artist Fave was born Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere on 13 March 2000 in Anambra State, Nigeria. She is the only daughter of her parents and has four brothers.
Her family has lived in the eastern and southwestern parts of Nigeria for over twenty years. She is from the Igbo tribe of Nigeria.
Growing up, Fave discovered her talent for singing and started singing in church at six years old.
Education
Rising singer Fave is a student of Law at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.
Career
Fave had been doing music before her rise to stardom in 2020. She adopted her stage name, Fave, which she coined from Favour.
At 19, while pursuing a law degree, Fave had already dropped a single M.O.M.M.S, an acronym for Me or Mask My Sins. Her music style is a blend of Afro-beat, dancehall, Afro-pop, Dane, and R&B.
With a poetic approach and a touch of emotion in her works, Fave has claimed her spot in the music industry.
In 2019, Fave began posting freestyles on her X (formerly Twitter) account as a university student. Users found her content entertaining and engaged in them, bringing her to the limelight.
The Nigerian singer began gaining traction in 2021, after a verse on a free beat, which Jinmi Abdul produced, went viral on X (formerly Twitter).
In April 2020, Fave released her first single, N.B.U, an acronym for Nobody but U. The song performed well, starting at number 64 on Apple Music Top 100 charts.
The commercial successes she recorded with her works created other opportunities, including signing a licensing deal with Mr Eazi’s emPawa Africa in November 2021. She has been compared to other female music sensations like Ayra Starr and Tems.
Fave then dropped the single Baby riddim under emPawa Africa. The song became a hit upon release, climbing the Nigerian music charts, including the turntable chart and Global Shazam Afrobeats record in 2021.
On 20 January 2022, Fave released her first project, an EP, ‘Riddim 5‘, to a wider audience. It includes tracks such as Obsessed, S.M.K, Kilotufe, Mr. Man, and her hit track Baby Riddim. It climbed to number one on Apple Music’s Top Albums chart in Nigeria.
Her success and talents have also gained the attention of music stars. She featured on two tracks – Want and Pon Pon – from rapper Olamide’s album in 2021.
Nigerian singing sensation Simi also featured Fave on her single Loyal in 2022.
Afrobeats artist Davido also featured her on a track from his album Timeless in March 2023. She is currently signed to and co-owns the record label Tumblar.
The young talent has won many awards, including a Rookie of the Year at The Headies 2022. She was a nominee for Most Promising Artist and Best Artist in African Reggae Dancehall at the All Africa Music Awards.
Fave was also a nominee for Best New Artiste at the 2022 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.

Nigerian singer Fave is currently single. She revealed that she started dating at the age of 10. While in the children’s choir, she started a relationship with the choirmaster.
Fave resides in Lagos State, a state in southwestern Nigeria.
